Also, as our first year comes to a close we'd like to know what you think, how are we doing? Please let us know by answering some questions on our Comments Box page. You don't even have to let us know who you are. The information is collected through Google Documents.

Nov. 2009

In order to cover our costs we will begin charging for individual meetings or taking annual memberships for $25. An annual membership will get you into all meetings from now (November of 2009) through the end of 2010 as well as access to online notes. You can sign up to become an annual member during the Nov. 18th meeting, or pay a $5 per-meeting entrance fee if you'd prefer. We deeply appreciate the support.

Introducing our new member Marlo from Etsy rain! Marlo Miyashiro (a.k.a. IMakeCuteStuff) has been in the retail and wholesale handmade craft industries for over 20 years, creating and selling her work to over 200 stores across the country and abroad. She is a jeweler by trade, crafter of sewn things, teacher of techniques and mentor / arts business consultant for emerging artists. She is also one of the founding members and current organizer of EtsyRAIN.com – an active community of over 790 artists who reside in the Puget Sound region and own independent shops on Etsy. You can find some of her lighthearted work on Etsy at http://imakecutestuff... and more info on her consulting services at http://CreativeArtsCo.... We are so excited to have Marlo join our team and what new and exciting things she will bring to the group!

Please join us at Cal Anderson park for a picnic to welcome Marlo, socialize and talk about business. If you haven't joined us before, come find out what we do. If you are an old hat at what we do, come join us for a little networking, food and fun!

Bring a dish to share and talk to other small business owners and enjoy the summer sun!

We'll have balloons by our picnic area to identify us. This is a great opportunity to bring new folks to a free event - they can come see if they like what we are all about! More at Meetup.com.
